Snow is a poem by Lukasz Walterowicz. It is about snow falling and the qualities of snow. The first line, flakes falling on our heads is touch imagery. The flakes are falling on their head and it makes the reader feel like there is snow all around them. Ebullient animas of angels Rejected at heaven’s gate. This is a Metaphor transferring the quality of the angles to the snow. White. Short, snappy sentence that explains itself. Simple but affective. White is sight imagery because it's colour. Pure. This is a metaphor of cleanliness. Light. Light is sight imagery but it symbolises sight and being able to see. Soft. This is touch imagery because you feel the softness of things. ice-cold is touch imagery because you can feel the how cold it is but it's also taste imagery because you can also taste the tempreature of things. Tender. This is also taste imagery because meat can be tender but it's also a metaphor because its transferring the quality of tender meat to snow. Silent this is sound imagery even though no sound is made. In this poem there is imagery and metaphors. This is a very powerful poem.
